Arrived without reservation for a late lunch / early dinner to celebrate mother-in-law's 94th birthday.Chose from the lunch menu - one fish & chip - one burger - both were above expectation. After being seated inside asked and were able to be moved outside to beautiful terrace. Service, ambiance, quality of food were all excellent. Had ordered a dessert be served with birthday candle - staff went over and above and decorated entire plate and did beautiful presentation. Made our day. Thank you.
Amazing high quality food, prepared expertly. Recommend the Open faced roast beef. Patio on the lake makes for a fantastic atmosphere. Service was good. The soft linen napkins are an unusual extra touch of luxury! Washrooms were clean and the stalls unusually large, also wheelchair accessible. See pics.
Dock Of the Bay is awesome! I have been here 4 times and each time was delicious. I eat Gluten Free and they had many menu items that converted to gluten friendly. My first time eating a real tasting hamburger in years. All the food is very very good and if you like Iced Tea, omg they iced tea here is the best I have ever had! The service is good and the atmosphere is wonderful. We like the patio overlooking the water.
My husband and I just hosted our wedding reception at Dock of the Bay and everything was absolutely perfect! They catered to every single guests' needs and went above and beyond in every sense. Service was amazing and our guests cannot stop talking about how incredible the food was, stating it was the best wedding buffet they had ever had. Breath-taking view and sunset, but it was really the staff that blew our minds. A huge thank you to Wayne (owner), Chef Darren, and all of the amazing, hard working staff at Dock of the Bay. You put the icing on top of our special day and we can't wait to go back again for dinner!
Very disappointed in our experience here. After being seated we waited 20 minutes before someone came over and told us that they didnt know our waiter was out getting ice so they were sent over to take our drink orders. My partner and I ordered a bottle of wine for the two of us and the waiter hastily walked away before getting my friends drink orders. When we let the owner know he walked away as well without taking them. It was another 15 minutes before the waiter came over with the wine and some water. A lot of the water glasses were dirty and one had very obvious lipstick staines. The food was okay (the two small crab cakes we received were not worth $18). The waiter we finally got was friendly but it was definitely not worth the $200 I spent there (not including how much my friends spent). Would have appreciated a comped app or even a small discount but we received neither.
