My husband and I stayed at the Marriott on our mini-moon, we wanted to have a short travel distance (less than 2 hours), and the feeling of an escape from real life. The environment in Gravenhurst is beyond relaxing. The staff at the Marriott are welcoming, knowledgeable and very thoughtful. We were surprised with chocolates and champagne in our room! Our view looked out on the water and words cannot describe the beauty that we were in. Before we left I already wanted to come back next summer!
This is a wonderful place to stay on business or vacation. The surrounding area is beautiful all year round. The rooms are very nice and the suite options are huge, almost like an apartment. I can highly recommend you stay here.
The rooms are great, however we did not like having a room over the front main floor Patio. There is a refrigerator compressor there running all the time. The staff is very friendly , but start knocking on doors at 9am for service . So put out the sign if you plan on sleeping in. Also they have this nice front patio with tables and chairs but none of the chairs had cushions so we are sitting on very uncomfortable steal bars. The amenities are low, the scenery around the the hotel is wonderful. The place needs a lounge or bar.
Memorable stay here! Best Residence Inn Ive ever stayed in, very clean as well. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, recommended things to do around town and restaurants to eat at. Perfect location right on the wharf - many fun activities right next door. Right on the lake - a very peaceful and pleasant place!
Beautiful resort! Very convenient location for all the sights, trails, iconic areas (like the Muskoka Heritage Centre right next door), and downtown Gravenhurst just a walk away. We stayed at a lake view suite and even though the lake was a bit of a distance away, views were still great. Staff were all friendly, free breakfast is a plus. Gym was quite small with limited equipment. I did like how they had an outdoor firepit and the free to use bbq! They allow option for mobile check in but unfortunately does not have the ability to unlock your room via NFC. So even if you check in via mobile you'd still have to wait in line to get your room keys. Hoping for this upgrade in the future. Will be back again if the opportunity arises.
