I needed a replacement spark plug for my Stihl power washer. Its a special order so I was out of luck...until the fellow at the desk offered to remove one from one of their floor units. It saved the day as I was only up for a week and had to get the job done asap. Ive bought a few Stihl machines from Northgate and I will go out of my way to purchase all of my equipment from them. They understand the customer and will go out of their way to help. Rare these days!
These guys helped me out in a pinch on a Friday afternoon on my way up to the cottage to go riding. Got my ATV up and running in next to no time at all and everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Much thanks to these folks!
I rarely if ever do this ! BUT this one is very well deserved ! As a Small Business I have a lot of Various suppliers, the vast Majority are extremely good and value my Business ! BUT the one I am reviewing in this Post Failed Miserably ! . North Gate Power Equipment Gravenhurst ! . I have had an account with this company for almost 10 years , initially they were great set up my business account 10% off retail ( other then powersports and Farm equipment I usually get more ) they were courteous and prompt when I called BUT something has changed ! this time no one would ever answer the phone or return the messages I left ! So one day I dropped in and asked what was going on, a Guy I know know to be the owner basically told me that I better get used to it because " in will not change in the near future" he then told me to order by E:mail ( he did not seem to care when I informed him my rural internet is very spotty and Unreliable ! . BUT this is where it gets worse ! I ordered almost $3000.00 of parts and was assured that was with my 10% off , after getting my parts a few days later and installing them for the customers I got a sense I should do some checking, so I called 3 different John Deere Dealers to have them price the Part numbers I had gotten ! GUESS what not only did I not get my 10% off, I paid 20 % more then the Other dealers list price , so 30% more then they would have sold it with my 10 % off that they all also offered me ! That my friends was over $400 higher then it should have been on one parts order ! . Just my advice, if you have dealt with this company check your invoices, call another dealer with the parts you purchased, have them price it ! If I am right you should be raising cain , because I am pretty sure they are padding prices ! . Companies like this do not deserve their customers ! . Problem for me is now these brands of parts will be almost an extra hour round trip to get ! BUT GUESS WHAT it will be worth it to deal with a reputable, Honest Dealer ! P.S. Byers in Rama was awesome to deal with ! from answering phone right away, to calling back and Fairly pricing !
